How it works

From idea to first customer.

He builds it, shows you every move, asks when it's your call, and waits for your OK.

01

Say the idea.

One sentence is enough. Otto picks a name, draws a logo, chooses colors and fonts, and gets to work.

02

Watch him work.

Every search, every page he reads, every line of your site appears on a desktop you can see, as it happens.

03

He asks when it's your call.

Name, price, audience: Otto pauses mid-task, gives you options, and carries on with your answer.

04

Nothing goes out without your OK.

Posts and emails wait in a queue. Approve one and it opens ready to send, from your own accounts.

05

Publish in one press.

Your site goes live on GitHub Pages under your own account, free. Or take the code anywhere.

Most dogs don't hate baths. They hate the kennel, the loud dryers, and the wait. We're building a grooming van for San Jose that comes to your curb.

Under the hood

Everything handled. Nothing hidden.

Runs on your machine

One command starts it. There's no Garage server and no account to make.

Powered by your Claude

Otto is your own Claude Code, run headless. Pick Sonnet or Opus, and cap every run with a budget.

Sandboxed

Otto can only touch that business's folder and can't run code. Your own settings and plugins never load.

Plain files you own

Every business is a folder: HTML, SVG, JSON, Markdown, CSV. Edit it, version it, take it anywhere.

Free hosting

Publish puts your site on GitHub Pages under your account. Bring a domain whenever you like.

Fix it, as often as you like

One button and Otto checks every file and repairs what's broken. No daily limit.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You run one command to start it, then everything happens in the app: type your idea, watch, approve. You need Node 20+ and Claude Code installed and signed in.

What does it cost?

Garage is free and always will be. Otto's work runs through your own Claude Code, so it uses your Claude plan or API key. The app shows what each run is worth at API prices (our full demo build: $0.43) and lets you cap every run.

Which Claude do I need?

Whatever you've signed in to Claude Code with. Garage never sees your login; it just runs your own Claude Code. Using a Claude plan with third-party tools is covered by Anthropic's terms, so give them a read.

Does Otto send anything on his own?

Never. He only drafts. When you approve a post or email, it opens in X, LinkedIn, Threads or your mail app with the text filled in, and you press send.

Can Otto mess up my computer?

He runs sandboxed: his file tools are locked to that business's folder, he can't run commands or code, and none of your own Claude Code settings, hooks or plugins load. He can search and read the web.

Where do my files live?

In ~/Garage, one folder per business: brand.json, logo.svg, site/, research.md, posts.json, outreach.json, deck.html, sheet.csv.

What can't it do yet?

Answer a phone line, run ads, make videos, take payments, or take texts from your phone. Pull requests welcome.

Your idea. Otto's afternoon.

Open source, on your machine, and yours to keep.
